Species: Nocturian Longtailed Rabbit

Positive traits: Protective, attentive, vigilant, swift, tough

Negative traits: Grumpy, short-tempered, unpredictable, rash

Abilities: None

Family: Myline Vegari (mother), Xavier Vegari (father), Dashell Vegari (younger brother)

Fun fact: He helped Dash learn how to use his half-kinesis with his scarf.

Dash's older brother. He was normal in all aspects of a teenager and young adult growing up, save for his weird fascination for assassination groups in stories and his willingness to start his own with his group of friends. They called themselves The Shadow, kept secret from their families (save Dash who wanted to join without really knowing what it was), but never actually ended up performing any real assassinations like they had been anticipating; most of their time was spent 'training.'

While Rydell wasn't pretending to be an assassin, he played with his younger brother, whom he regarded with endearment at his innocence and youthfulness. He was mortified when he learned that his own best friend, named Petra, attempted to poison his brother in the name of their assassin group; brutal interrogation gleaned that Petra had some kind strange fear of Dash, specifically his ability which all of Rydell's friends were vaguely aware of. So he had tried to kill him, thinking he was some kind of evil entity, and was detained for attempted murder. Later he died by what appeared to be suicide.

Rydell faced blame from his stricken parents at Dash's near death, as all of the information regarding The Shadow came out with Petra's confessions. As Dash neared recovery from his cyanide poisoning, Rydell disbanded his group and told them to never go near the base again, and soon after became very distant from his friends while also facing ridicule from his parents at home.

Already disdained from their somewhat irrational blame, he grew increasingly hostile when he noticed how often his parents fought over anything to do with money, watching them bring out their worst sides as they began to say rather thoughtless and damaging things about him and Dash 'leeching' the money out of them.

He was extremely concerned for Dash's sake, who began to believe he was somehow at fault for his own murder, and for the anger of his irrational parents, and began scheming to take him away somewhere safe from them. He eventually did sneak away in the night with Dash, taking him to their undisturbed old base on another side of town to live, effectively cutting off contact with everyone. He began to try and raise him himself, despite being strapped for funds and the crippling of Rydell's career and future plans. He had resorted to stealing for a short time to keep food inside the house, but it had always made him feel guilty. He soon got himself a job for rather meager pay, but it was something.

He continually expected police to catch him or Dash for being missing, but strangely there was no sign their parents had reacted to their sudden leave. Rydell had assumed they preferred it this way and kept the events quiet, much to his disgust.

After four rough months, and three days after Rydell ended up losing his job, he disappeared under unknown circumstances, leaving Dash alone to live off what was already earned and bought, and to venture out in search for him all over the area, thus leading him to meet Zeryl on the streets at night.

Waffles may seem like they are too complicated to make for an everyday breakfast, but in fact they are easy. Waffles are traditional square-shaped breakfast cakes, but they don't have to be served just at breakfast. You can add fruit or confectioner's sugar to make your waffles even more delicious. Here's how to make waffles:
Step 1
Ingredients:
You could use a box waffle mix, following the directions on the box. Homemade batter requires the following:
3 eggs
2 cups four
1 and half cups milk
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2-5 tablespoons melted butter (more for crispier waffles, or less for cake-like waffles)
Toppings of your choice
Step 2
Purchase a waffle iron: Modern waffle irons include many useful features, unlike older ones meant to be used on the stovetop. Just plug it in, and it will tell you when the temperature is correct for making waffles.
Step 3
Make waffle batter: You can use a boxed mix, or make your batter from scratch, which is actually quite easy. If you’re using a boxed mix, just follow the instructions on the box. To make your own: Mix the dry ingredients in one bowl. Then beat the egg whites and butter in another bowl, adding the milk once you’re done. Now, beat the egg whites until they’re creamy, and pour them into the dry ingredients. Now, mix everything together. The batter may be a little lumpy, but be sure there are no large clumps of dry ingredients. Don’t over-mix, or the batter may not turn out right. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes before making the waffles.
Step 4
Pour batter into waffle iron: Measure a cup of batter into the bottom side of your waffle iron. Be sure not to overfill it, or batter will run out of the waffle iron, burn onto the sides, and make a huge mess. Keep in mind that the batter will expand as it cooks. Once you’ve poured the batter in, close the lid to let the waffle cook.
Step 5
Cook the waffle: Many newer waffle irons have a timer or sensor to let you know when the waffle is done. Otherwise, wait until steam no longer comes out of the waffle iron, or until the waffle is light brown and slightly crisp. Be sure to watch it carefully, or your waffles will burn; the cooking process takes only a few minutes.
Step 6
Remove the waffle. Don’t use your fingers, because the waffle will be very hot. Also, it may be a little stuck to the sides. A fork works well for removing your waffle from the waffle iron.
Step 7
Serve your creation: You can serve waffles with butter, maple syrup, jam, fresh fruit, powdered sugar, whip cream, or any other sweet topping! For dessert, you can even serve them with ice cream and chocolate syrup. If you’re making waffles for a group, try a topping bar so that everyone can pick their toppings. You should serve them right away, when they’re still warm.
Waffles may look complicated, but they are actually very easy to make yourself. Surprise your guests or your family by making delicious waffles at home.
