back then thievery wasn't an unknown practice since the war had been driving people to poverty. Whisper had gone from middle-class to low-class and resorted to stealing at the age of 15 in order to keep herself alive. While she had committed numerous theft crimes she was still not a bad person deep down. 

She had one day met Solaryn while attempting to mug him in an alleyway. Seeing that he also had nothing, she felt bad for the attempt and realized that she shouldn't be preying on the poor. After attempting to make it up by leaving some of her thief money on his doorstep, the two continued to bump into each other and eventually began to grow a friendship with one another.

When Solaryn had mysteriously disappeared, Whisper had fallen into a depression as she thought he had been killed somehow or taken into the war, and when she had received his first letter she was elated, and gladly kept in touch with him as much as she was able.

Upon the rampage of the Tempest-Turner, Whisper had found herself questioning the thought processes of the ruler generals on both sides for allowing it to escalate this far. She had hoped to never cross paths with the monster, but one night she found herself escaping the East through the mountain range and the Tempest-Turner following. On impulse or anger she had jumped on its back from her place higher up and ripped out its key without it noticing. 

The fleeing citizens and the armies that has chased it in futile attempt to slow it down witnessed it, and she was crowned as a hero. Much controversy had started up, some believing that she still had to pay for her crimes, but the majority seemed indifferent and lost in gratitude for sparing the region a widespread catastrophe, claiming the deed already cleared her name.

As it turned out, she rose to become a decent ruler, who used the cash from her stolen goods to fund reparations. As the first of her monarchy line, the people named her founded city after her: Whisper Valley. She ended up marrying one of the workers in charge of starting the railroad and having three children. She lived to a ripe old age in which she had restored peace to the region and hid the Gear Key with Solaryn in secret, and eventually died peacefully in her castle.
